Major League Baseball players face a ‘very real risk’ of testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) if they take over-the-counter sexual-enhancement pills.
According to a league-wide memo that was obtained by ESPN, at least two players have been suspended for violating the league’s PED policy this year after testing positive for banned substances that were obtained through the over-the-counter pills.
The suspended players were not identified.
Those pills, which are unregulated and often sold at gas stations, 레비트라 비아그라 차이 are prevalent among MLB players, sources told ESPN.
Current MLB commissioner Rob Manfred actually negotiated the league’s first drug-testing agreement in with the MLB Players Association in 2002 while serving as executive vice president of economics and league affairs. An MLB spokesperson did not immediately respond to the Daily Mail’s request for comment.
In its memo, the league warned about the risk of consuming such supplements: ‘These products are often contaminated with prohibited and unsafe ingredients.’

According to ESPN, the unregulated supplement industry is a $30 billion a year industry. Most famously, ex-NBA star Lamar Odom was left in a coma after using what was described as ‘herbal Viagra’ at a Nevada brothel, but he ultimately recovered.
‘We know from experience,’ read the memo, ‘that a number of these sexual or male enhancement products – which are sold online, at retail stores, and on the black market, both in the United States and internationally – contain anabolic steroids and other prohibited substances.
‘For this reason,’ the memo continued, ‘we strongly urge players against taking any sexual or male enhancement product, from any source.’
