License plates on limo JFK in when killed sell for $100K

DALLAS (AP) — The license plates that were on the limousine carrying President John F. Kennedy when he was assassinated in Dallas have sold at auction for $100,000.

Noah Fleisher with Heritage Auctions says the plates sold Saturday for well over the initial bid of $40,000. Fleisher says they were purchased by a “high-end Kennedy collector” who requested anonymity.

Heritage says that after the 1963 assassination, the limousine was sent for upgrades to a Cincinnati company that retrofitted presidential limousines. When a limo service new york ny set of plates arrived, the old plates were discarded. But the company’s owner retrieved them from the trash.

Beyoncé’s fan were up in arms this week after some of them became convinced that a video shot at her concert in Boston showed one of her crew members touching or grabbing her rear end.

The video, which was posted on Wednesday, showed the 41-year-old pop superstar climbing down from a platform on wheels that appeared to be part of her stage set up.

The singer — who recently left out ‘s name in lyrics to her Break My Soul remix after she was accused of sexual harassment and fat shaming by some of her former backup dancers — appeared to be having difficult getting down from the vehicle.

As she crouched down, she handed her microphone to one member of her entourage on the left who wore a black suit, while another man in a gray ‘CREW’ jacket stood to the right side of a ladder to help her down.

But fans zeroed in on Beyoncé’s pants — which featured cut outs exposing the bottom portion of her pert derriere — and the man in gray’s hand as he appeared to touch her back side.

Too handsy?Beyoncé fans were convinced the 41-year-old singer got felt up by one of her crew member after video of him helping her down a ladder was posted to TikTok earlier this week

Uh oh!’Someone is getting fired in Boston,’ read the on-screen text. The video showed the man on the right appeared to touch Beyoncé’s rear end as he helped her down from the stage

After turning herself around to step down the ladder, both men reached out to help Beyoncé and to steady her as needed.

The man in the suit held his hands out, but he appeared to barely touch her and merely kept them in place to prevent her from falling backward into the crowd if she were to lose her footing.

But the crew member in gray first reached out a hand to briefly grab Beyoncé’s as she twirled around.

Then, as she slowly stepped down the ladder, he held up his hand, first in front of her back side, as if to cover it up for the fans closet to her, but then he appeared to touch her rear end.

As she stepped down further, he even appeared to reposition his hand, as if to keep it on her backside.

‘She’s mad!’ shouted a man in the crowd, though it wasn’t clear if he was referring to the apparent skin-to-skin contact, or just the hitmaker’s difficult getting off the platform.

‘Someone’s getting fired!’ he added, echoing the video’s caption: ‘Someone is getting fired in Boston.’

After Beyoncé made it off the ladder, the cameron panned to show her bodyguard Julius de Boer, who had a stern look on his face and quickly followed his employer as the two men who had helped her down whisked her away to the backstage area.

Cumbersome: She first hand her microphone to the man on the left before turning around to go down the ladder

Making contact: While the man on the left held his hands up but did not touch, the man on the right in the gray ‘CREW’ jacket appeared to place his hand on her derriere

Pretty cheeky: He even appeared to adjust his grip as she got farther down the ladder

On her tail: Beyoncé’s bodyguard Julius de Boer (L) was seen with a stern face as he followed Beyoncé and the two men, though it wasn’t clear if he was upset about the situation

‘That crew man got a hand full [sic],’ joked one person in the comments.

Others were skeptical but changed their tune once they saw the video.

‘I was like, “Nah, y’all reaching on this one,” and then he went in for the second grab! It’s a wrap! Get him Julius,’ another person wrote.

‘The repositioning of his hand and all….’ added one person who thought the video showed something amiss.

But others also suggested the video didn’t indicate anything untoward.

‘Why do y’all assuming she’s mad when she’s clearly smiling [sic],’ wrote another user.

Others focused on Beyoncé’s security guard Julius.

‘Oh I know Julius was on his way to tell that man OFF,’ opined one fan.

Another fan joked, ‘Julius was like “nu uh not today” with a finger wag.’

Nothing to see here: But others also suggested the video didn’t indicate anything untoward.’Why do y’all assuming she’s mad when she’s clearly smiling [sic],’ wrote another user

Putting a stop to it: Another fan joked, ‘Julius was like “nu uh not today” with a finger wag’

Beyoncé is currently on her widely acclaimed Renaissance World Tour, which has its next stop in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, August 5.

It was recently revealed that the Break My Soul singer has an unusual tour rider requiring that every tour stop has that are brought along with her.

While Beyoncé has recently deleted mentions of Lizzo from a list of inspiring women in her Break My Soul remix, she made sure to give Madonna a ‘big shout-out’ as the veteran singer attended her recent show in limo service new york ny Jersey after she was hospitalized for a life-threatening infection.

‘Queen Mother, Madonna, we love you!’ Beyoncé shouted from the stage.

At one point she hugged a handsome man outside the terminal. The beauty dates Matthew Paetz, 30.

And she shared lots of shots of the Big Apple with her fans on Instagram – without revealing what the ‘secret project’ was.

Red Sox set to get Trevor Story back for meeting with Royals

The Kansas City Royals will try to end a three-game losing streak on Tuesday when they face the host Boston Red Sox in the second contest of a four-game series.

Boston won the series opener 6-2 on Monday when Pablo Reyes hit a walk-off grand slam with two outs in the bottom of the ninth.

The Red Sox are expected to have shortstop Trevor Story in the lineup on Tuesday.Story has been on a rehab assignment with Double-A Portland (three games) and Triple-A Worcester (10 games) following offseason elbow surgery. He has not played for Boston this season.

Story was 12-for-40 (.300) with four home runs, four doubles, nine RBIs and 13 strikeouts in those 13 minor league games. He played nine games at shortstop and was the designated hitter in the other four.

“Just the whole rehab process in general, just watching the game was tough,” Story said. “I’m way more impatient as a fan, way more emotional as a fan because you don’t really have what it takes to change the game or do anything that can affect the outcome.

“In that aspect, it was hard…. I know that I can help. We’re here now and I’m excited to get this thing started.”

Boston has used seven players at shortstop this season.

Right-hander Brady Singer (7-8, 5.10 ERA) is scheduled to start for Kansas City. He’ll be opposed by fellow righty Kutter Crawford (5-5, 3.62).

Singer tossed eight shutout innings in a 9-2 victory against the limo service new york ny York Mets on Thursday. He surrendered three hits and struck out four.

In his last seven starts (45 innings), Singer has a 3.00 ERA with 37 strikeouts and nine walks. He has allowed two or fewer runs in five of those games.

Singer pitched well in his only previous appearance against the Red Sox. He allowed five hits and struck out five in six scoreless innings when the Royals beat the Red Sox 9-0 last September.

“He’s stone cold out there,” Royals pitching coach Brian Sweeney told The Kansas City Star. “Huge competitor, really good at what he does and knows his strengths. And it’s every guy on this staff that has that inside of him. We’re lucky to see it every fifth day with Brady.”

Crawford also turned in one of his better performances of the season in his most recent start, when he pitched five shutout innings against Seattle last Wednesday. He struck out five and limited the Mariners to four hits but was pulled after throwing 81 pitches. The Mariners scored six runs against Boston’s bullpen en route to a 6-3 victory.

Crawford took the loss when Kansas City beat Boston 13-5 last August. He gave up five runs on five hits in five innings. That’s the only time he’s pitched against the Royals in his career.

Catcher Salvador Perez was not in Kansas City’s lineup on Monday night after he was hit on his left hand by a pitch during Sunday’s 8-4 loss to Philadelphia. Kansas City manager Matt Quatraro said the hand was bruised and there was some swelling.

“Nothing too serious,” Quatraro said. “He’s just a little bit tender.I think the right thing to do is just give him a day.”
