These are the standard runes for Marksmen. In the Precision Tree, Press the Attack gives solid burst damage in short skirmishes, Triumph and Bloodline provide sustainability in teamfights, and Coup de Grace allows Aphelios to secure kills and get further ahead. Then taking Magical Footwear and Biscuit Delivery in the Inspiration Tree gives Aphelios sustainability and survivabil
With Apex Legends ‘ first official Ranked Series winding to a close and another fresh season looming on the horizon, competitive players are gunning for those highly coveted Ranked Points harder than ever. This means that everyone is bringing their A-game to the Ranked queues, and that you’re going to need to do the same if you’re still grinding ranks to secure those sweet exclusive rewards for the next t
Aphelios has 5 unique weapons that each start with 50 Moonlight (Ammo). His basic attacks cost 1 Moonlight, and his abilities (Q and R) cost 10. Once his Moonlight hits 0 he will switch to the next weapon in the queue. Also, instead of upgrading his abilities when he levels up (like the other 146 champions in the game), the player can choose to upgrade either his Attack Damage, Attack Speed, or Armor Penetrat
Still, I miss the accuracy of a mouse for skill shots. The characters don’t quite have the charm of Ahri, Rumble, or any of my other LoL mains. I find their voice acting annoying, and their 3D models don’t quite live up to their art. I don’t see myself dropping cash for skins. In the end, I think I just want to scratch the MOBA itch I’ve been ignoring for years. Genesis definitely does that, and will do so for any curious PS4 owners. It also doesn’t require PS Plus, which is a… plus. Give it a shot as your first MOBA, or first Easy MOBA heroes in years. If you have a PC, however, stick to the class
The best heroes players can start with are tank units that have lots of hp. Even many of the high-level players start out with these damage sponges because it’s the best way to protect the glass cannon units and buy time to implement more complicated strategies later
Each lane also has both a melee and a ranged barracks. Their function is somewhat counterintuitive, because by destroying the opposing barracks in a lane, your own creeps become stronger. Do they loot the barracks? Are they motivated by your heroes? Who knows, but this is a cornerstone of play in order to continually push down an enemy lane effectively. Not only do your creeps become stronger, they also award less experience and gold to the opposing team, and if they cannot counter by destroying your barracks, the opposing team become continually disadvantaged as a match progres
This one might be a little obvious, and frankly, it’s not always an option due to scheduling conflicts. Still, the fact is that playing with a team that’s familiar offers infinitely more benefits than queuing up and crossing your fingers for a decent line
Destiny 2 brought back its haunting Festival of the Lost on October 16, and event vendor Amanda Holiday will be back with bounties that earn players the special Halloween currency of fragmented souls. Themed cosmetics will be available aplenty, players will make a return to the haunted forest for hours’ worth of new challenges, and finally, guardians will also gain access to a limited-time murder mystery quest. With Destiny 2 just recently being made free to play, anyone can explore the Festival for the first time e
This is advice that can be applied to practically every gunfight. Whether they’re being met head-on or they’ve managed to get the drop on the player’s squad, smart and precise repositioning by a single squadmate can immediately flip the table on any situat
Building up your hero is automated by default. If you don’t “pre-order” a late-game item, the game will prompt you to buy the next affordable recommended item as soon as you have the gold. When you level up, the game will automatically apply a point to an ability. Since you can’t freely choose targets with a mouse pointer, there’s a priority system. With a click of the left stick, your hero will cycle between targeting creeps, structures, or enemy heroes. It’s all streamlined, designed for console players who probably never played a PC MOBA. Fortunately for experienced players, it can all be turned off. Well, except for the game pad controls. The devs are planning to eventually put Genesis on PC, but have stated that they don’t plan on incorporating mouse and keyboard contr
Since there are so many heroes to choose from, it is best to experiment until you find a few that you enjoy. Few games come even close to this size of a roster, and there is no reason to limit yours
The biggest change is the addition of a win condition. Either team could destroy the opposing base to claim victory, but they can also just get 60 kills. The idea, I imagine, is to stop that endgame drag that always happens in close matches. Both sides hunker down in their bases, carefully turning back creep tides and maybe jungling. But mostly they play it safe, retreating the moment a team fight seems to be going bad. It’s tedious, boring, and only amplifies post-match toxicity because the stalemate usually ends when someone gets antsy and gives up a team fight. In Genesis, you can play it safe all you want but one side will eventually get 60 kills. In theory. In my 6-7 hours of play this only happened once. That match still went on a little too long. So while the ultimatum does pressure teams to actually push lanes, it isn’t a complete cure for turtl

Last fall, 24 teams from around the world competed for a near $5 million prize pool at the League of Legends World Championship. The finals were held in front of a sold-out, 20,000-person crowd at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris, France. An estimated 100 million more watched online. For reference, 98.2 million people tuned in for Super Bowl L
